BS EN 6097 pdf free download. Aerospace series – Bearing, spherical plain, metal to metal, extra wide inner ring in corrosion resisting steel – Dimensions and loads- Inch series.
4.3 Material
Inner ring: see EN 2030; hardness 55 ≤ HRC ≤ 62.
Outer ring: see EN 3161; hardness 28 ≤ HRC ≤ 38; before swaging.
4.4 Surface treatment
Surface treatment shall be as defined in chapter 5 (designation) with following codes:
— code T: Surface treatment according to ISO 8075 for inner ring before swaging; outer ring: no treatment;
— code P: Surface treatment according to ISO 8075 for inner ring before swaging; cadmium plating of outer ring according to EN 2133,5 lIm to 8 tm (200 Itin to 300 Itin).
4.5 Swaging groove
Swaging groove shall be described in chapter 5 (designation) with following codes:
Without swaging groove code 5:
Surface treatment according to ISO 8075 for inner ring before swaging. Cadmium plating of outer ring:
5 urn to 8 lIm (200 pin to 300 pin) according to EN 2133 (cylindrical surface area and chamfers and both end surfaces at manufacture’s option), followed by chromating.
With swaging groove code R:
Surface treatment according to ISO 8075 for inner ring before swaging. Cadmium plating of outer ring:
5 pm to 8 pm (200 pin to 300 itin) according to EN 2133 (cylindrical surface area, broken angles and radii, respectively, as well as both end surfaces up to the swaging grooves), followed by chromating.
4.8 Temperature range, grease and lubricant They shall be used in the temperature range as determined by the grease capability see below. As they are lubricated by means of the following greases: 一code A: grease as per MIL-PRF-23827, Type 1 operating temperature range -73°C to 121 °C; 一 code B: grease as per MIL-PRF-81322, operating temperature range – 54°C to 177°C. In both cases the spherical surface of the outer or inner ring have to be provided with a dry-film lubricant as per MIL-PRF-46010 or equivalent (anti-seizing protection).
6 Marking Marking shall be according to EN 2424, style A. 7 Technical specification Technical specification shall be according to EN 2337. 8 Quality management system The manufacturer’s operations shall be an approved production organisation for aerospace products and shall demonstrate that it has implemented and is able to maintain a quality management system [e.g. according to EN 9100 or an equivalent aerospace accepted and established quality management system). The qualification procedure for aerospace standard products [e.g. according to EN 9133 or an equivalent aerospace accepted and established qualification procedure) shall be used and documented according to the specified tests if not otherwise agreed between customer and supplier.BS EN 6097  pdf download.
